Project to Develop and Build Three Mountain Springs in the Siliana Region

In support of the State’s efforts to combat the shortage of drinking water in rural areas and to limit the impact of low rainfall and the unprecedented drought, the Olive Branch Network of Development Associations in Sfax recently completed the construction and development of three mountain springs, turning them into drinking water points in the rural areas of the delegations of Makthar and Rouhia, in the Governorate of Siliana.

This was achieved in cooperation and coordination with the services of the Regional Commissariat for Agriculture and Fisheries, and under the supervision of the Governor of Siliana and the regional supervisory authority.

This noble humanitarian project is funded and supported by the Kuwaiti Society for Cultural Communication of the sister State of Kuwait, and implemented by the Olive Branch Network of Development Associations in Sfax. It is a development project that forms part of the social development projects pursued by the Network in its humanitarian work.

We extend our thanks and appreciation to everyone who lent us a helping hand, from the regional and local authorities in Siliana, enabling us to complete this project, which represents a vital source of life for the residents of these areas that were previously deprived of drinking water.
