Distribution of electric wheelchairs for people with special needs, including students and the elderly…
As part of its annual project, the Olive Branch Network of Development Associations in Sfax distributed 39 wheelchairs (29 manual and 10 electric) to people with special needs, including students and the elderly, following a careful assessment of the beneficiaries’ needs and in coordination with the relevant authorities.
The distribution event was held under the supervision of the local and regional authorities and the social affairs departments of the governorates of Sfax, Tozeur, Kasserine, Tataouine, and Sidi Bouzid, in the presence of the network’s members, representatives of the competent authorities, the beneficiaries, and their families.
The president of the network stressed that this initiative is part of supporting the State’s efforts to assist people with disabilities, improve their quality of life, and enable them to continue their education.
This initiative was made possible through the support and funding of the International Islamic Charitable Organization in the State of Kuwait, as part of a series of humanitarian programs carried out by the network throughout the year.
